Writing
Poetry
Poetry has always been one of my favorite forms of expression in the written word. I think this is because in using these words, very vivid images can be painted - sometimes even more so than actual visual artworks. Words have a kind of power that sometimes, images alone cannot hope to possess.

" ... you scoop him up and weep for his bones // that were never more than specks // of unwanted dust in your hands. "
" the ground echoed // the sound until our feet listened and // carried us to the back // porch window. "
" ideas, once they're tamed and bound, become fragments // of a mind on fire; they collide and explode // like stars. "
" and suddenly, from white death explodes // an array of black confetti into // the clouds, ... "
" if only she had heeded // their wings' warning, but they were so beautiful, and she // didn't know what that felt like. "
